![]() Heaven and earth were divided into three parts, and each of us was to have an equal share. We were three brothers whom Rhea bore to Cronus - Zeus, myself and Hades who rules the world below. In book XV of Homer’s epic poem The Iliad, Poseidon explains how it turned out: As the story goes, when the world was divided among the three brothers, each got one part to rule over. Together, these three brothers came to be associated with the sky, the surface, and the underground, respectively. He was a son of the titan Cronus, along with Poseidon and Hades. At the heart of it all is Zeus, the father of the gods. Greek mythology tells the story of these gods, including their complex family trees and tales of their interactions with each other and humanity. Each of our adventures brought new lessons, new opportunities to heal, experiences to strengthen our connection and memories to last forever. I took one step at a time through my healing process so I could shift into the best version of me with all the lessons I gained. I learned who I had become and who I desired to be. It was through adventuring with Poseidon that I was able to uncover myself fully. Most of all, he taught me that life is an adventure to enjoy, you may never know where the path is leading you and the most exciting part is turning the corner to see what’s there. He showed me that it’s okay to be afraid, and in those moments we need to support each other to push past the fear. He reminded me to be intentional with my days, for my words, my thoughts, my actions and my behaviours are what create my life. The amount of lessons Poseidon brought into my life is limitless. Poseidon was my connection on the days where I struggled, the days I thrived, and the days I questioned everything.
